Download layers for offshore use. Cached forecasts age — the app labels cached data with its age and never presents it as live.

Notifications

Email/SMS delivery runs on SNS + SES in AWS (see docs/ARCHITECTURE.md). In local dev, triggered alerts are logged by the API.
